An investigation was issued by Delhi Government into an incident wherein a popular restaurant named ‘Shiv Sagar’ denied is services to street children.

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia tweeted that;
This is typical Colonial mindset. Can't be tolerated. Have ordered DM New Delhi to enquire & report within 24 hours. https://t.co/ifixugxPRD

This complaint was lodged by Sonali Shetty, who took these children to the restaurant for celebrating the birthday of her husband. Sonali claims that the management immediately asked the children to leave from their restaurant.
Sonali further said that
“They clearly told us to get out and also threatened to shoot me if I don’t clear out from the premises. The owner discriminated with kids and refused service citing that kids aren’t well dressed and are look dirty. Nevertheless, I came back and sat down in front of the restaurant in protest. Even the police did not support us”
When the reporters asked the restaurant management about this, they clearly refused Sonali’s charges and also stated that they had given permission to children for entering, but since they were creating lot of chaos inside, the restaurant refused service.
An employee of the restaurant Roma Malhotra stated that;
“It is completely untrue that we denied entry to the children, as we have it on record that we allowed them to sit inside. We also never said that we won’t provide service to the children. But then the kids were making a lot of noise, tossing things around and creating a commotion. As a restaurateur, I have the right to deny service to someone who disturbs other customers,”
Now, Sonali would be returning to the restaurant again with more street children, in order to protest. So guys, what do you think about this? Was this treatment given by the restaurant right?
