There has been much discussion on the authenticity of Bollywood awards in past few days when the potential singer Amaal Mallik took to Facebook and opened up about the hypocrisy prevailing in these award ceremonies. Furthermore, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s confession that he bought his ‘Best Actor’ award for the film “Bobby” added fuel to the fire.
And now, Harshvardhan Kapoor who stepped into Bollywood with movie “Mirzya” has expressed utter disappointment over not winning the ‘best debutant’ Filmfare award.
Just to inform, Diljit Dosanjh got this award for the film “Udta Punjab”.
Harshvardhan lashed out for this defeat in a harsh tone:
“I won every award except Filmfare. Some awards have a jury and they decide. Some have a popular vote. I don’t know how they decided this year. I think debutant awards should be for people who are relatively new to films. Otherwise, it is like saying I have done 100 English films and now I am doing a Hindi film so I am a debutant. So if Leonardo Di Caprio wins an Oscar and then comes to do a Bollywood movie, he is a debutant which is not something I agree with.”
A Twitterati said that Harshvardhan acts too entitled, “why is he so self-righteous and entitled?”
This enraged the actor and he replied, “None of those things just entitled to my opinion like the rest of the world is”
Well, this didn’t end here and the user went on to say, “if your hardwork goes unacknowledged in some form or the other, you and your sister have such a difficult time accepting it”
To which Harshvardhan replied, “so we shall all behave like robots from now on , and not share our thoughts and feelings , u ask for honesty then complain when we are”
