Social media is not just an interactive platform for individuals to get in touch with other people but has also become a medium to show our power.
Just recently, a former employee of Snapchat claimed that the CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel, once said that he didn’t want to launch his app in poor countries like India and Spain as his app was meant only for rich people. There was a huge uproar on social media after this news went viral; however, we must remember that it has not been proved so far that Evan has actually said so and it is just a statement by a former employee of the company who is fighting a case against Snapchat. Besides that, the spokesperson of the firm has clearly denied these allegations.
It was obvious for Indians to get angry after this but what was more frustrating was that they were venting their anger out on the e-commerce firm, Snapdeal, getting confused between Snapdeal and Snapchat, as they have a little similar name. They are giving one rating to Snapdeal app to take revenge from Snapchat.

However, there are some people with common sense who are talking about this mistake and also asking their countrymen to wait till the clouds get cleared and we come to know who exactly said what.

WTF!
There is a big difference between Snapchat and Snapdeal and poor e-commerce company has to bear the brunt of people’s anger for something which hasn’t been proved yet! Shouldn’t these people make more research before defaming a reputed firm? What do you have to say over the incident? Share your views in the comments section below.
