Salman Khan has always liked to play different roles in his movies; he has raised the standards by playing a child-like man in Tubelight. The movie hit the screens today and it is definitely a mix of emotions; it can make you laugh, it can make you cry and probably, make you reach the highest emotional level. Today, we will review this master-piece and we know you will be eager to watch it after reading it.
The plot!
The first and foremost thing that everyone loved about the movie is that they got a chance of seeing Om Puri for one last time. Basically, the movie revolves around the life of Laxman Singh Bisht (Essayed by Salman), a child-like man and his innocence; the introduction of the film is very different as compared to other Salman Khan films. The camaraderie shared by Bharat i.e. Sohail Khan and Laxman is something you will enjoy throughout. Basically, Laxman and Bharat are raised by uncle Om Puri as they have lost their parents at a very young age. After seeing this wonderful bonding, you will find it very difficult to accept the departure; yes, it will be heartbreaking to see Bharat joining the army and separating from his brother.
The film has a backdrop of Indo-China war and justifies the title by propelling Salman as well as the audience towards light. After giving us a hit like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir Khan succeeded in creating the same magic with Tubelight. There are a lot of of things that we can learn a from Salman, most important ones being love peace and love neighbors.
Performances
Salman as well as Sohail Khan have gripped our minds with their performances. Salman cries and laughs unselfconsciously and this is something we haven’t seen before; Sallu Bhai has always showed us his macho image, but here there’s a difference. On the other hand, Zhu Zhu, the Chinese actress has shown lot of courage and determination throughout. Matin, the cute little kid, has been a complete entertainer. The cherry on the cake is SRK’s cameo as a magician; overall, everyone has done justice to their roles. Om Puri too portrayed the father-figure successfully. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub has given a promising performance as well.
Music
There are basically 4 songs in the movie, but Naach Meri Jaan and Sajan Radio are very magical; the 2nd one is all the more loved because of Salman’s vocals. Other songs i.e. Tinka Tinka and Main Agar are not bad either.
Positives
Being a war-drama, it is high on emotions; Kabir Khan has penned down the script beautifully. Meaningful dialogues by Manurishi Chadha and Parveez Shaika are a bonus; at every point of time, you will realize just one thing, love and have faith in your loved ones. The 2nd half of Tubelight is a roller coaster ride of emotions; yes, it is very high on emotions and will bring tears to your eyes. The climax will leave you stunned and will make you watch the movie once again.
We give 4.5 star rating to the film and are sure that it will cross 300 crores. The film is too good in all the aspects and you need to book the tickets right now. Salman is sure to break all Box Office records this time.
