Andy Murray is a CHAMP, when it comes to Wimbledon. Somehow luck didn’t support him yesterday and he had to bow down to US player Sam Querrey in the quarter-final match. It was a 5 set match and it did give us those Goosebumps.
Rather than feeling sad over Murray’s defeat in the match, his fans are feeling happy about the way he handled a journalist in the post match conference. He gave a mouth-shutting reply to a reporter, who passed a sexist remark.

He described Sam as the “First US player” to reach Wimbledon semis since the year 2009; however, before he could complete, Andy Murray corrected him and said it should be “Male Player” and not “US player”. If you don’t know, let us tell you that Serena Williams has already won 5 titles since then. Murray wanted him to be specific because even female players ought to be counted.

His response was very heart-warming; even his mother couldn’t control herself from replying on Twitter.

And soon, even others reacted…
Best thing!
Best thing about Andy Murray calling out reporters forgetting existence of women (again) is he doesn't laugh it offhttps://t.co/98zGTWugAd

Wow!
Andy Murray, unlike these other wastemen doesn't want to be known as the "first person" to do something when he knows a woman did it first.

Feminist male player!
Is Andy Murray the most doggedly feminist *male* player in tennis? This seems to happen every year, but he's always ready to call shit out. https://t.co/fQqKMYC4W4

We are glad that Andy Murray respects female players and wants them to get equal recognition. Such players deserve huge respect.
