Bollywood’s 1st female superstar and diva Sridevi left everyone heartbroken as she passed away suddenly on 24th Feb in Dubai. It was said that she left the mortal world due to a cardiac arrest. However, later the forensic reports revealed that it was an accidental drowning.

Bringing her mortal remains back to home was a very tough task for family members. The irresponsible reporting by media further added to the sores and it was a shame.
The condolence meet and funeral of Sridevi happened on 28th Feb and along with the family, a huge crowd of fans came to join her last journey. There was no measure of pain her family members and fans went through after her untimely demise.
But there are people who always like to bring negativity in everything and just can’t let anything happen in peace. If freedom of speech was Ozone Layer, they must have used it all by now. Shobha De is one such person who thrives on negativity.
Even in such a moment of grief, her soul allowed to tweet something and put out her terrible thoughts in front of public. When the nation was upset about the death of its favourite star, Shobha De was complaining about the choice of venue. Yes, can you imagine it?
Here’s what she tweeted-
Irony of ironies. A Diva’s condolence meeting at a venue named ‘ Celebration Sport’s Club.’
Her tweet of course received a similar kind of response. Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani gave her a strong reply-
The truth is we are all going to die someday. The measure of what you leave behind is how people will mourn your passing. #Sridevi Ji’s legacy is to be celebrated. The world will remember that and not the untimely, petty musings of an attention seeker. #ShowSomeRespect https://t.co/lqlNClhfFk

Her followers also bashed her for the insensitive tweet. Here’s how they reacted-

Only if we could exchange Sridevi for Shobha De, what a bad deal that would be for God.

Ma Shobhaa De. U are a problem the society is actually dealing with.
The problem is that you have a say in everything, and twitter is an easy weapon for you. Keep quiet for a while.— DIPTAK BHATTACHARYA (@diptakbhatt) February 28, 2018

Irony is mam just looking at your age #Sridevi mam was like a daughter to you.. So it is not important that where all that happening it is important to understand how much one is bearing all pain of loosing his/her loved one.. Take Care..

And the irony was only for your eyes. The rest of us celebrated her in life, and in passing. A condolence note would be gladly appreciated by the family and the fans instead of the ill-thought lines.

This woman's lusting for publicity even be it at a departed soul's funeral. That too, of it being while the body's lying in state shows the fantastic makeup of this woman's mind.

Does it matter what the name of the venue is?
What mattered was the spontaneous out pouring of love shown by Sridevis fans and admirers
A little more sensitivity in your tweets would be welcome @DeShobhaa— Meera Bhat (@meerabhat) February 28, 2018
What are your thoughts on it?
