Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover had a controversial fight last year and it eventually led to a much talked about breakup. Sunil Grover left The Kapil Sharma Show which badly affected its TRP. Further, Kapil’s medical condition made producers stop the show.
Now that Kapil and team has announced a new show “Family Time With Kapil”, controversies and troubles don’t seem to leave their way.
We all know how fans still want to see Kapil and Sunil together in the show. One such fan recently sent a tweet to Sunil and requested him to comeback with Kapil. Sunil replied him and told that he has not been approached for the show.

His reply hurt Kapil and he tried to express it on Twitter. Kapil replied Sunil on the same tweet and requested him to not spread rumours when he has been approached multiple times by Kapil.
Paji I called u more then 100 times n came to ur house to meet u twice .. every time u were out for some show n all .. pls don’t spread rumors that I didn’t call u.

Replying to a fan on the same thread, he again tweeted-
Yes .. he is lying .. I called him 100 times n sent my people to his home .. even I went to his home to meet him for the show .. but now I will not let anybody take any advantage on my name .. enough is enough

Kapil’s replies made Sunil furious and he shared a note on Twitter. In the note, Sunil Grover said that he was talking about the new show and note the old one. At the same time, he also said that he has maintained his silence so far to save the goodwill of Kapil.

The conversation brought a storm on the social media and the their fight got the media attention again.
Now an insider has revealed the real reason behind Sunil Grover not working with Kapil in the new show. The source told The Quint that Sunil had “a keen interest” in working with Kapil in the new show. He has been quoted as saying-
“But Grover had a pre-condition. He wanted the show’s title to be changed. Nothing radical…or so Grover claimed. He just wanted his name to be added to the title of the show. So instead of Family Time With Kapil Sharma, it would’ve been Family Time With Kapil & Sunil.”
The source further added-
“Firstly, because the show was planned as a comeback vehicle for Kapil. It was Kapil who made Comedy Nights With Kapil andThe Kapil Sharma Show a success. Of course all the other comedians/entertainers in his team, including Sunil Grover, added to the show’s entertainment value. But for Grover to think he could share the marquee 50:50 with Kapil was ridiculous to the point of being laughable. All of Sunil’s efforts so far to project himself as a solo entertainer have been disastrous.”
A close friend of Kapil has also been quoted as saying –
“The mid-air fight has been completely misrepresented in the press and media. Whatever happened during the flight was sorted out before the plane landed in India. Kapil and Sunil had hugged and wept over the incident. To his shock, Kapil woke up on the day after he landed, to widespread reports of his drunken misbehaviour on the flight. The betrayal of trust shattered Kapil. But still he reached out repeatedly to Grover, called him innumerable times, drove down to Grover’s house on a number of occasions to personally invite him to return to their show. Grover wouldn’t relent. Apparently he wanted to use this highly exaggerated ‘rift’ with Kapil as a basis to set himself up as a solo stand-up performer on a par with Kapil. So this conflict is all about division of power between Kapil Sharma and a colleague who wants equal billing.”
