Salman Khan was convicted in the 20 years old Blackbuck poaching case by the Jodhpur court. The court sentenced him imprisonment for 5 years along with a fine of Rs. 10,000; however, all the other accused – Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were acquitted.
He was arrested and sent to Jodhpur Central jail and even though his lawyers applied for bail, the “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” star spent two nights in the jail. He was identified as Prisoner No. 106 and didn’t get any VIP treatment.
When Salman was in jail, his sisters as well as actress Preity Zinta went to meet him, whereas a number of B-Town celebs comforted the Khan family in this tough time.
Finally he was granted bail by Jodhpur court for Rs. 50,000 and all his fans who were already condemning the court’s decision were brimmed with joy.
