Ishant Sharma was unfortunate enough to not be sold in IPL. Although no team preferred to choose him in IPL, he played brilliantly in County Cricket.
He is a fast bowler and his stats have been pretty good. However, his IPL performance hasn’t been that good. After facing bad luck in IPL, he got approached by Sussex for playing with them in Specsavers County Championship Two.
In the first match against Warwickshire, Ishant showed an impressive play. It was due to Ishant that his team could perform so well. in the 1st innings itself, Ishant picked up around 3 wickets of Tim Ambrose, Adam Hose and Wilfred Rhodes.
In the 2nd innings, he took wickets of Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott. This way, Sussex got some great moments to cheer for him.
With this, it’s 5 wickets for Ishant Sharma & he got figures like 29.2-7-69-5. This way, Ishant will be able to play effectively against England. This would include 4 test matches as well.
Sussex CCC highlighted his performances in a video on Twitter;

Blessing in disguise!
What the hell? Is that Ishant really? or someone else? Not getting selected in IPL is probably a blessing in disguise.
