We often try our best to avail Domino’s scheme of ’30 minutes delivery or free’, either by entering wrong addresses or either by giving wrong guidance to the Pizza delivery boy, isn’t it? But many a times, these efforts go in vain because Domino’s knows to tackle these situations well! All we look for is something “Free Free Free”, and we know you are smiling while reading this.
What if you get something unexpected (Maybe a secret to get rich) in your pizza box? What would be your reaction? You’ll be excited, isn’t it? Well, something similar happened to this lady, who ordered chicken wings from Domino’s, which was accompanied with something which she would have never ever expected!
According to reports, Selena Avalos, a resident of San Jose California was surprised to discover a bundle of $5,000 i.e. around Rs 3.27 lakhs in her food box, can you believe that?
If you were in her place, what would you do? Would you keep it or honestly return it? Let’s see what Selena did…
For Selena ‘Honesty is the best policy’ and following this, she immediately contacted Domino’s to collect the money. She was surprised to see that the restaurant took too much time to come and collect the money.
Selena was quoted as saying “I was like, I can’t keep it, it’s a crazy amount of money, it’s not like it’s $20 you find, you know. It’s almost $5,000,”
Finally, the restaurant manager sent someone to pick up the money and not only this, he even appreciated her honesty, by offering her free Domino’s pizzas for a year; this is amazing!
Selena got appreciation at the workplace too; yes, her employer promised her a week off, obviously with FULL PAYMENT, as he was too happy with her honesty.
Obviously, Selena had a chance to get richer by keeping $5,000, but for her, it was honesty and ethics that mattered.
