H. D. Kumaraswamy is going to be the next chief minister of Karnataka after B. S. Yeddyurappa of BJP submitted his resignation to the governor without even facing the floor test. Kumaraswamy is going to take the oath on Wednesday, May 23.

No party got full majority in the state elections and the governor called BJP to form the government as it emerged as the single largest party. However, just after the results, Congress declared its support to JDS if it forms government. The Congress-JDS coalition had required numbers from the very beginning but as the governor called BJP first, Congress & JDS took the legal route. As per the court’s direction, BJP had to prove majority on 19^th May but Yeddyurappa failed to do that. Now it’s confirmed that Kumaraswamy will be the new CM of Karnataka.

1. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

We kick off our list with one of Marvel’s few misfires, The Incredible Hulk coming hot on the heels of Iron Man’s success. The Incredible Hulk was a huge letdown despite a Pacey setup, satisfying action and Lou Ferrigno himself returning to voice the Giant Green Monster.

2. Thor: The Dark World (2013)

So slightly ahead on the second spot is ‘Thor: The Dark World’. While the dark world brought Loki back into the mix post Avengers and featured this absolutely stellar cameo of Captain America, Thor 2 was a disappointing experience. Poor character development, sloppy writing, and one of the MCU worst villains in Malekith didn’t exactly help either.

3. Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

While low down on our list is Avenegrs: Age of Ultron. James Spader was on menacing form as the main villain, we got our first glimpse at Paul Bettany’s vision and even Hawkeye got some time to shine with a meaningful character arc. But the rest of the film was bit of an unsatisfying mess. Ultron’s major downfall was the fact that the film had the unfortunate task of balancing a lot of characters and their accompanying storylines and that resulted in well…it failed.

4. Ironman 2 (2010)

Following the breakout success of Ironman, there was a lot of pressure on the sequel to deliver but Iron Man 2 just didn’t hit the mark. All the ingredients were there to make a winning sequel; Robert Downey Jr., director Jon Favreau and Gwyneth Paltrow all returned and the cast was graced by Scarlett Johansson’s first appearance as Black Widow, but the end result just didn’t have the same freshness as the original. The action sequences felt stale, the characters weren’t meaningfully developed and Mickey Rourke was an uninteresting villain.

5. Thor (2011)

Thor was a fun early entry into the MCU that introduced us to Marvel’s take on Asgard and north mythology. Chris Hemsworth then a relatively unknown actor gave us a suitably arrogant Thor and Tom Hiddleston was perfectly cast as the mischievous Loki. It didn’t hurt that the cast was rounded out by the likes of Sir Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba and a cameo in Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

5. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Avengers 2.5 Civil War saw Marvel finally cracking their villain problem. The answer make your heroes fight each other and what a fight it was. You might remember civil war for the iconic central set piece, but the Russo brothers also did a perfect character development throughout the film’s nearly three hour long running time. Civil War gave characters like Vision, Scarlet Witch and War machine the room to breathe alongside successfully introducing newcomers like spider-Man and Black Panther.

4. The Avengers (2012)

The Avengers succeeded for many reasons, but at its core its success was down to Joss Whedon. Love him or hate him, he’s one of the few writers in Hollywood who can successfully balance an increasing ensemble of characters. For a film about bringing together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes the Avengers start pretty lowkey and works up slowly towards its big moments. The film carefully balances quiet character moments including this heartbreaking scene with Agent Coulson and with its action scenes especially the Battle of New York, the MCU might just have its finest set piece to date.

3. Captain America And The Winter Soldier (2014)

In third place we’ve got the MCU shattering events of the Winter Soldier. After the old school adventure of the First Avenger, the Winter Soldier pivoted cap into a story of paranoid politics and espionage while the film offered up some of the MCU’s greatest action scenes. Cap also excelled in some of its more understated moments and even gave characters like Black Widow and Nick Fury the room to develop. Reminiscent of seventies classics like all the President’s Men, a vibe that was helped along nicely by the introduction of Robert Redford to the cast. The Winter Soldier was a superb thriller with some great action set pieces and one hell of a twist.

2. Black Panther (2017)

It’s only been out a couple of months, but Black Panther is already at the top end of our list. Bringing Wakanda, the absolutely awesome Durham Malaysia and the wisecracking princess Shuri into the mix. Black Panther offered at one of the MC used best standalone stories. Not only did the film feature a fantastic in Samba love African American talent, but we also got one of the greatest villains in the MCU in the form of Erik “Killmonger” Stevens brought to life via muscular performance from Michael B Jordan. Erik “Killmonger” Stevens was a villain with purpose, charisma and one hell of a motivation for his actions. Black Panther wasn’t absorbing an engaging film that gave the MCU the shot in the arm that it died early needed.

1. Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

As amazing as black panther was, it wasn’t quite good enough to edge pass the clear winner among the game swinging of his team, Guardians Of The Galaxy. Guardians Of The Galaxy was Marvel’s biggest risk to date, but boy did it pay off. Guardians Of The Galaxy was an immensely enjoyable cosmic adventure that introduced us to Starlord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and of course featuring soundtracks of 80s classics. It had a witty script full of standout one liners and a star making performance from Chris Pratt. Guardians is a more than worthy number on our list.

Time Travel has become one hot topic of recent time. Every month there are 2-3 people coming out and claiming that they are time travellers and have travelled back to this time from some future age.

Recently a time traveller named Mary has claimed that she travelled in time to the year 3812 and went to Mars to take a picture from there. Shedding some details about the future life at the Red Planet, she said that she saw robots on the planet and even humans had moved there.

She has been quoted as saying by Express.co.uk, “So I appeared on Mars, it looked like a desert with many buildings, I immediately took a photo. You can see the spaceships on which we came, you can also see the buildings.”

Sharing how it felt like being at the Mars, she said-

“Mars was very interesting and at the same time very frightening.”

She also shared the background about her travel and how it all started. She said that when she was younger, a 60-year-old named Sir Benjamin Franklin met with her and showed her a big laboratory where he conducted experiments.

While adding up, she said-

“I will pass to the story about a tourist which changed my life. Once a 60-year-old man came to our cottage. His name was Sir Benjamin Franklin. He told me that in his 20s he had both studied and made experiments in the field of non-traditional physics.”

Mary explained that Benjamin suggested she travel forward in time, putting her on a mission to reach the Red Planet and take a photo as evidence.

She continued saying, “Sir Benjamin suggested me to travel into the future. It was my dream. His friends from the 38th century made documents for me too. I had a special mission…I had to fly to Mars and bring a photo from there. I went to the year 3812, and I should say that it was very painful.”

She didn’t stop here and continued to share some more details about Mars. She said that the “sky had a different colour” and that “flying machines” navigated the sky. She said-

“Everything was different in their time, the sky had a different colour, there were green places in it. I appeared in the 38th century and I did not recognise my planet. Many flying machines were passing through the sky.”

She also said-

“I was walking through the city when a man came to me who was wearing a black coat. His name was Sean, he was Benjamin’s friend and asked me to follow him. We walked away and went to his car, I couldn’t forget that emotion when I was flying above the metropolis.”

By looking at the toothpaste, it seems that a road roller has run on it. You can’t dare to ask for a new tube of toothpaste until you squeeze the soul of the old one and use that last small drop. 2. Cut cream or shampoo bottle to use every bit of it

We middle class people can’t see anything getting waste and that’s why even if a shampoo bottle gets empty or a cream or some other product gets finished, we make sure to use even the remaining tiny drop by cutting the bottle or filling water in it and then using that water.

3. A master bag that has all small and big plastic bags

Every middle class family has one big master bag in which all the small and big polythene bags, from the transparent to the glossy ones, are kept. There’s a fixed place for this bag and it’s mostly behind a door where guests can’t see it. Whenever required, you are asked to take one from that but you can’t afford to touch the one that looks good or is in the best condition, as it’s mostly kept for relatives to create a good impression.

Just like we use every bit of toothpaste, cream or shampoo and reuse soft-drink bottles, we never throw an empty bottle of oil or shampoo if it’s in proper and reusable condition. Such bottles are washed and cleaned nicely, dried in sunshine to get rid of any kind of smell and then are refilled with some other stuff. If we don’t need them immediately, we stock them to use later.

9. Using rubber bands if socks get loose

No matter how weird it looks, we try to postpone buying a new pair of socks even if its elastic is completely damaged and keep on wearing the same pair by using rubber bands. What a jugaad!

10. We cover TV remote with plastic

That’s our mantra of keeping things new and safe! We don’t remove plastic that covers our new stuffs like sofa, chair or TV and for keeping the remote clean and protected, we cover it with a plastic sheet too. Yes, we are somewhere obsessed with plastic!

11. Life of a T-shirt is damn tough

When parents get a new T-shirt, it’s firstly worn by elder brother and when it doesn’t fit him anymore, it’s handed over to the younger sibling. When it’s dull and faded, it becomes night wear and at the day of Holi, it’s finally worn and given a vidai. But we don’t throw it even after that! It becomes pocha and serves the house till it gets pierced into pieces! Ah, life of a T-shirt in Indian middle-class family is damn tough!

A Jaipur based businessman named Rrahul Tanejaa has a great love for numbers especially “1”. So this time when he bought a brand new Jaguar, he shelled out Rs 16 lakhs to get the number “1” on his plate.

But you are wrong if you think that he has done it for the first time.

As per HT, Rrahul Tanejaa who runs an event management company bought his first luxury car, a BMW 5 series, in 2011 and paid Rs 10.31 lakh for a special number RJ 14 CP 0001.

Then he bought Skoda Laura only because the registration number of the vehicle was RJ 20 CB 0001.

Then he purchased a BMW 7 by selling his first car but he retained its number RJ 14 CP 0001.

However, this love is not limited to the car numbers. His mobile number also has five 1’s in it and he was a topper at his school Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Adarsh Nagar.

Rrahul explains his fascination towards ‘1’ by saying-

“I believe in being number one in whatever I do. I want my event management company to be number one in the country.”

He further explains-

“Even in 1996 when I bought a second hand scooter, I made sure its number added up to 1,” he said. “The scooter’s number was RJ 14 23M 2323. 2+3+2+3 adds up to 10 and 1+0 is 1.”

However, the life has not been easy for Rrahul initially. He left home when he was just 11. For 7 years he did several odd jobs for a living and to fund his studies.

He sold kites during Makar Sankranti, rakhis during Raksha Bandhan, colours during Holi and crackers during Diwali. He even sold leather jackets on footpaths. He drove auto-rickshaw at night – from 9pm to midnight – because he didn’t have a driving license and at this time of the night, there was less chance of getting caught by police.

The hard work only made him shine like a diamond and he tried modelling at the age of 18. This changed his life and he was declared Mr Jaipur, Mr Rajasthan and Male of the Year.

Now that he is a successful businessman, Rrahul says, “My life had been full of struggle – now when I have money, I want to enjoy it.”

Isn’t that inspiring? Many people will criticise him for wasting money on numbers but that’s his passion and he has spent his own money on it. Right?

There’s always something interesting going on in IPL, sometimes even before the match starts. Recently something happened before the match between Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings that made Dhoni laugh. And believe me, it’s always a pleasure to see him laughing even if the view is not that clear. LOL.

Before the DD vs CSK match started at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi, it was the time of toss. DD captain Shreyas Iyer had to flip the coin and he did it. However, it didn’t happen as expected and the coin fell far away from them after he flipped it in the sky.

The incident was funny and it made our dear Mahi laugh. The toss was won by CSK and they decided to bowl first.
