Kareena Kapoor is one actress who has been a victim of trollers despite being absent from social media. The trollers have made sure that there’s nothing about her that’s not trolled.

They have called her an irresponsible mom, have used bad words for her dressing and have also criticised for partying around with friends.

Recently during a Veere Di Wedding promotional interaction with Mid-Day, Kareena was asked to talk about what she thinks about the trolling. She said-

“One should wear what they look good in. I don’t know what’s motherly dressing. My mom (Babita) wears modern clothes, she looks fabulous in jeans and a top. Have you seen my mother-in-law (Sharmila Tagore)? She looks gorgeous in a pair of jeans and a shirt, just as much as she does in a silk saree. I come from a world where women wear what they want to. Just because I have had a baby doesn’t mean I can’t wear a short dress. If you have the confidence and the body to pull off something, wear it by all means.”

Talking about the trolling she received while being pregnant, she said-

“When I was pregnant, there was so much talk about me being up and about. People need to let women embrace the various phases of their lives.”

There was a one sided Twitter war between the YouTuber and Ekta Kapoor. Yes, Ekta started a Twitter thread in which she slammed PewDiePie and all his fans left and right.

However, it was just a fun way that PewDiePie used for the dramatization involved in Ekta’s serials. Moreover, he even highlighted the poor editing in one of the soaps. Ekta’s response to PewDiePie didn’t go down well with many fans.

Uday Chopra Uses Race 3 Dialogue In Weird Way. Got Badly Trolled

Uday Chopra is among those Bollywood actors who couldn’t get a successful career in the film industry despite making many attempts. We have mostly seen him in “Dhoom” series and he seems to have vanished from lead roles after his “Pyaar Impossible” flopped on the box-office.

However, the actor is quite active on social media, especially the micro-blogging site Twitter, where he keeps on posting on a regular basis. However, it won’t be wrong to say that he is a favourite of trollers and people mock him every now and then.

There is no denying the fact that Arjun Kapoor and Sridevi never shared a cordial bond; however, after the veteran actress left this world, Arjun has always been standing like a pillar of strength for his father Boney Kapoor and step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi.

We have seen many instances in which Arjun and Anshula proved it on social media that even though Sridevi is not there, they will protect her daughters and that’s why whenever a troller or media house presented Janhvi in a bad light, they gave it back to them in harsh words.

The whole article was about how people trolled Janhvi for her dress and this was unbearable on the part of Arjun.

Being a big brother, Arjun Kapoor has been showing his protective side towards Anshula, Khushi and Janhvi and once again, the “Ishaqzaade” actor slammed the daily in harsh words on Twitter.

This is not the first incident and we got to see Arjun’s anger when it comes to the respect of his sisters previously also. About a couple of months ago, he slammed a portal for making cheap remarks about Janhvi’s dress and tweeted, “You know what, f**k you man, f**k you as a website for highlighting or bringing it to anyone’s attention and it is shameful that your eye would go searching for something like this. Shame on you… This is how our country looks at young women. Yet another shining example. Ashamed by this.”

These 3 Indian Colleges Are Among World’s Top 200 Institutes. Check Out If Your College Is Here

There is good news for the Indian education system as the number of Indian universities in world’s top 1000 has increased to 24 from 20.

On Wednesday, the QS World University Rankings 2019 got released and the elite institutions of India – Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay (IIT-B), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) – Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi (IIT-D) got featured in the top 200.

The topmost institute of India is now IIT-Bombay that has attained the 162nd position, 17 positions up from 2018 while last year’s top institute IIT-Delhi remained at 172 this year also. In fact, IISc has also surpassed IIT-Delhi and secured the 170th rank.

Global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds released the 15th edition of QS World University Rankings which are seen as one of the most respected and esteemed rankings. The good part for India is that six out of eight top ranked IITs/IISCs are constantly going up in the rankings while two have managed to remain on the same position for few years now.

2. Stanford University

3. Harvard University

4. California Institute of Technology (Caltech)

5. University of Oxford

6. University of Cambridge

7. ETH Zurich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology

The top 1000 universities have been ranked by QS from over 85 countries and the top university of the world is Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the seventh consecutive time now.

Ben Sowter, QS Research Director, said this about the performance of Indian universities,

“The positive performance recorded by India’s most prominent institutions is symptomatic of a successful year for the country’s higher education system. 24 universities feature from India. 7 improve their rank, 9 remain stable, 5 are newly-ranked — and only three see their position drop.”

He further added,

“Indian improvements can be primarily attributed to improvements in QS’s reputational indicators, which account for the insights of 83,000 academics and 42,000 employers. Seventeen of India’s 24 ranked universities improve their rank for Academic Reputation, while 13 improve their rank for Employer Reputation.”

R Subrahmanyam, secretary, higher education, HRD ministry, expressed his opinion on the rankings,

“This is an affirmation of faith in the premier Indian higher educational institutions and an endorsement of the effectiveness of the measures being taken by Indian Government to improve ranking of Indian institutions.”

Many steps are being taken by the HRD ministry in order to improve the rankings of Indian universities by providing them with more funds and also the Institutes of Eminence scheme was launched so that these universities do not have to deal much with the regulatory framework.

However, Ben Sowter feels that a lot is still needed to be done as he said,

“Most of India’s other universities are struggling to improve their research impact, relative to global competitors: 12 see their rank for Citations per Faculty drop, while only 7 improve. India’s universities are also struggling to internationalize in an increasingly competitive international education market. 16 of 24 see their International Student Ratio rank drop year-on-year.”

Good work by HRD and Indian Universities and we hope to see more improvement in future!
