Today, GQ Men Of The Year Awards was hosted in Mumbai & no doubt, it was a stylish event. Many celebrities had graced the sets & some popular ones included Jacqueline Fernandez, Sidharth Malhotra, Radhika Apte, Irrfan Khan, Karan Johar, Rahul Bose, Sayani Gupta and many others.

Forget other guests; all eyes were on Anushka Sharma & Ranveer Singh. They were in a relationship previously, but even after breakup, they both have handled everything in a mature way.

They have given wonderful performances in movies like “Dil Dhadakne do” and “Band Baaja Baarat”; seeing these movies we could feel the chemistry between the two. Now when we talk of Ranveer Singh, we all know how mischievous he is.

He wrapped up his interview smoothly, but when it was Anushka’s turn, he hijacked her interview & caused embarrassment for her. Lol, he literally went up to her and had conversation while she was giving interview;

Ranveer:- Pari ki shooting kaisi chal rahi hai
Anushka:- Bahut badhiya
Ranveer:- Bhoot ke avtaar mein tu bahut sahi lagti hai
Anushka:- Ye kaunsa avtaar hai

Bharti has been working in many shows at the same time and managing them in a perfect manner. She feels that her fatness is the wish of God.

Fat-shamed since childhood:

Bharti was often mocked and fat-shamed in her childhood. Just like every Indian mother who is worried about her daughter’s marriage, her mom also used to ask her to lose weight, saying “You have to marry, Bharti”.

She wore men’s T-shirts and jeans:

The comedienne regrets for not being able to wear stylish dresses in childhood, as she says,

“Double XXL readymade dresses hadn’t hit the market; there were no plus sizes. I had to buy men’s T-shirts and jeans. I used to curse God for having made me fat.”

When her life changed:

When Bharti took part in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, she thanked God for making her fat; however, it took years to realize it. In her words,

“Yahaan bhi motaape ki baat hoti thi (They spoke about being fat here too). But I won the second position. When I joined TV, I started taking digs at myself; that is what people started loving me for. I realised that my fatness was actually God’s gift, and I better respect that.”

Green tea:

When Bharti took part in “Nach Baliye”, she had to give around 6 hours daily to rehearsals and resultantly, she shed 10 kgs. Bharti says,

“I don’t want to become sookdi (super slim). I neither go to a gym, nor do I have a dietician.”

Harsh, her partner in the dance reality show, advised her to take green tea and it actually worked. As per her,

“He told me to have green tea after every meal. People are commenting that I am losing weight.”

Making jokes on herself:

She makes jokes on herself just to make audience laugh but no one can dare to say insulting things on her face.

“Yes, I do make jokes about myself like ‘humara to bhaada bhi double lagata hai’ (rickshaw fare will be double for me)… But I do this only on TV, saamne se koi bolke toh dekhe (no one dare say this to my face)…”

No diet plan:

Bharti loves homemade food and can’t compromise much with her diet, as she says,

“I’m a Punjaban who eats parathas and omelette. I shoot till late and have dinner at 5am. I have lunch at 2pm, that’s why my health suffers sometimes.”

For fitness, she is planning to join a gym as well but before opting for a weight-loss plan, she feels the need of a medical check-up.

Earlier Kumar Sangakkara, the former Sri Lankan cricketer, also praised Hardik and called him a “very special player.”

The 23-yr cricketer has played only 24 ODIs till now since his debut and has won the title of “Man of the Match” three times so far.

England All-Rounder Ben Stokes Arrested, Won’t Play The 4th ODI Against Windies

Ben Stokes arrested but released the next morning:

On Monday, 25th September, Ben Stokes, the all-rounder of England, had been detained as he was involved in a nightclub incident which took place in Bristol. After spending a night in prison, he was released the next morning without any charge. This news is confirmed by ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) which also revealed that Alex Hales assisted cops in inquiring the matter further.

On Monday, Avon and Somerset police released a statement,

“A 27-year-old man was found to have suffered facial injuries and was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary for treatment. A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm and has since been released under investigation.”

Stokes and Hales won’t play 4th ODI against Windies:

Alex Hales and Ben Stokes won’t play the 4th ODI of the series against West Indies at The Oval. On 24th September, the 3rd ODI had been played at Bristol Cricket Ground and the so-called incident took place the next morning that finally resulted in Ben’s detention.

Stokes did it earlier too!

The 26-yr opener is not taken into custody for the first time as earlier in the year 2012, police picked him up during a night out. When he was playing for England Lions in 2013, he consumed alcohol and hence, he had to return home as a disciplinary response for what he did.

ECB’s team director’s statement:

Here’s what Andrew Strauss, team director of ECB, stated,

“Ben Stokes and Alex Hales will not be available for tomorrow’s One-Day International match against West Indies at The Oval. Stokes was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning, 25 September, following an incident in Bristol.”

Both Stokes and Hales were unavailable for training after the match in London. Moreover, Alex Hales returned to Bristol for helping police in investigating the matter.

In the words of Andrew Strauss,

“He was held overnight and released under investigation – without charge – late on Monday and will not join the team in London. Hales, who was with Stokes on Sunday night, did not train this morning and has returned voluntarily to Bristol today to help Police with their enquiries.”

Andrew didn’t disclose much information regarding the case because the probe is on; however, he said that he would share updates when time will come! As per him,

“You will understand that we cannot offer further detail at this stage but will provide any updates when we can.”

Eoin Morgan’s take:

Here’s what BBC Sport was told by Eoin Morgan, England ODI skipper,

“It has been a little bit of a distraction. As a group we are strong at sticking together and working well as a team. It has the potential to affect the game but not letting that happen is something we will strive to do. Jason Roy will definitely come in and play and we will make a final call on the other decision in the morning. We will look to bring others up as cover as well.”

ICC Announces 5 New Rules For International Cricket, Will Be Followed From 28th September

International Cricket is all set to enter a new phase where the players of all teams will have to follow a new set of rules. We had updated you about the same earlier too and back than the date suggested was 1st Oct. However, now the rules will come into play from 28th September itself.

ICC General Manager – Cricket, Geoff Allardice, explains the main changes in playing conditions. @icc

ICC made an official announcement regarding the same today. Have a look at the 5 rules that the cricket world will be following strictly from 28th September onwards-

1. Decision Review System

As per the new rule regarding DRS, teams will not lose any review due to ‘umpire’s call’. So from now on if on-field umpire’s decision remains unchanged after review, the team will still have their chances intact to take the review next time.

2. Change in thickness of Bat

Bat sizes will not change but a decision regarding the change in thickness of bats has been made. The new dimensions of bat will be-

(i) Width 108mm
(ii)Depth 67mm
(iii)Edges 40 mm

3. New rules regarding Run Out

The updated rule regarding the runout says, “If a batsman is running or diving towards the crease with forward momentum, and has grounded his/her bat behind the popping crease but subsequently has lost contact with the ground at the time of the wickets being put down, the batsman will not be run out. The same interpretation will also apply for a batsman trying to regain his/her ground to avoid being stumped.”

The new rules also state that- “boundary catches, airborne fielders making their first contact with the ball will need to have taken off from within the boundary, otherwise a boundary will be scored.”

A batsman can also be declared out “caught, stumped or run out even if the ball bounces off the helmet worn by a fielder or wicketkeeper”.

4. On-field discipline

On-field discipline will be very important from now on as the umpire will have authority to send the player out of the field for misconduct.

ICC stated- “Threatening to assault an umpire, making inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with an umpire, physically assaulting a player or any other person and committing any other act of violence all constitute Level 4 offences.”

Representational Image: In reality, there won’t be any usage of red cards to send off players.

5. No ball, Byes or Leg Byes

Earlier the delivery was allowed to bounce twice. However, now if the ball bounces more than once after being delivered by the bowler and before reaching the crease of the batsman, it will be called a no-ball.

If the ball lands off the pitch, then the umpire will signal a no-ball. If a fielder intercepts the delivery before it reaches the batsman, the umpire will call no-ball and dead ball.

Further, any byes or leg byes along with a no-ball will be scored separately from now on. The bowler will have one no-ball put against his/her name, and the other extras will be scored as byes and leg byes. Previously, byes and leg byes scored off no-balls were scored as no-balls.

Ram Rahim Raped Honeypreet Too & They Wanted A Secret Son As Next Dera Chief, Reveals Dera Follower

On a regular basis, shocking revelations are being made about Dera chief Ram Rahim Singh after his conviction. A few days ago, Honeypreet’s ex-husband Vishwas Gupta claimed that there were illicit relations between Baba and his adopted daughter Honeypreet.

Ram Rahim & Honeypreet wanted a secret son to lead Dera:

Recently, an eye-popping secret has come to light according to which Ram Rahim and Honeypreet wished to have a secret child or rather a son who will become the next chief of Dera. However, things didn’t take place as planned by them and their plan of succession didn’t materialize. The former followers of Dera told that they both didn’t share a very good bond in the beginning.

Gurdas Singh Toor, a former disciple of Dera chief who later turned into CBI witness, told India Today that Baba and Honeypreet wanted to give birth to a son whom they would have declared as the successor of their sect.

Honeypreet was also raped by Ram Rahim but she used this as an opportunity:

Most of the followers of Ram Rahim believed that before becoming a constant accomplice of Dera Chief, Honeypreet also met the same fate as the two sadhvis who went to court against Dera chief for justice. It is said that Honeypreet was also raped in the private chamber of Ram Rahim but she used this as an opportunity. She started blackmailing the Dera chief and made him provide her the favours that she wanted.

When Honeypreet was raped inside the cave:

Ex-drivers of Dera chief, Khatta Singh and his son Gurdas Singh (other from CBI witness Gurdas Singh Toor), claimed that they saw Honeypreet going inside the cave but when she came out, she was crying. As per Gurdas, he was guarding the cave on that day along with his cousin when Honeypreet was raped inside the cave. Gurdas said,

“Honeypreet was upset and had straightway gone to meet her grandfather who worked as a cashier at the Dera. He was annoyed and slammed the Dera chief. However, he was silenced by Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s goons.”

Ram Rahim never adopted Honeypreet:

Gurdas Singh Toor claimed that Ram Rahim and Honeypreet used to live like a couple rather than father-daughter. Earlier, ex-husband of Honeypreet, Vishwas Gupta also made this claim. Vishwas also said that he had seen them in a comprising position in the private chambers and he was made to stand outside the cave. He said,

“Ram Rahim had never adopted Honeypreet as his daughter.”

Honeypreet was against Jasmeet’s succession claim:

As per Toor, it was Honeypreet who came up with the idea of giving birth to a son who will lead Dera after Ram Rahim and she was the one who went against the succession claim of Jasmeet, the biological son of Ram Rahim.

In 2007, Ram Rahim declared Jasmeet as his successor but under the influence of Honeypreet, he changed his decision.

Gurdas Singh Toor said,

“Gurmeet Ram Rahim was against his son Jasmeet Singh Insan and was not keen to make him the Dera chief. As Honeypreet was the number-2 at the Dera, she wanted to give birth to a child from Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Both had plans to make him the future Dera chief.”

How Honeypreet’s plan failed:

As per Gurdas Singh Toor, the Dera chief and Honeypreet wanted to use Vishwas Gupta’s name for their son as his father but after Gupta divorced Honeypreet, their plan failed.

The saga of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Honeypreet is getting interesting day by day after the revelations that are coming out almost every day.

Siddharth Anand will direct the flick in which fans will get to watch Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan together. As per the reports in DNA, Priyanka and her mother (also the producer of Ventilator) had high hopes for the film which got a standing ovation at the New York Film Festival and was in the race of Oscars.

Ventilator director Rajesh Mhapuskar recalled how excited was Priyanka’s mother before the announcement. He said –

“I told her not to worry, assuring her that only the best film would make it. We were a bit disappointed when we learnt about the verdict, the next day.”

Apparently, Priyanka had also made the plans to make Ventilator the most talked about film in the run to the Oscars. The filmmaker said-

“I guess, Priyanka must be even more disappointed because she was always ambitious about the film. MIT Study Reveals Earth Heading Towards Its 6th Mass Extinction. It Will Happen In Year 2100

In the 540 million years of the Earth’s age, it has gone through a lot. There has been a list of natural disasters which destroyed a large part of Earth’s original existence.

We consider Tsunami, earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions as devastating which no doubt they were, but if see millions of years back, earth has faced far bigger disasters. These disasters have caused not hundreds or thousands of deaths but mass extinctions.

Yes, as per the studies as much as 5 mass extinctions have occurred on earth so far and it’s now heading towards its 6th one.

If the latest study by a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor is to go by, earth will face its 6th mass extinction by 2100 which means in next 92-93 years. Have a look at the timeline of previous mass extinctions-

Ordovician–Silurian Extinction

439 million years ago, this was the first mass extinction ever happened on the earth. The blow was so hard that 86% of life on our planet was wiped out. The major reason behind such a large extinction was that nobody must have been aware or ready for it.

Late Devonian Extinction

It occurred around 364 million years ago and wiped out 75% of the earth’s species. There is no clear information about whether the Late Devonian extinction was one single major event or spread over hundreds of thousands of years.

Trilobites, which survived the Ordovician-Silurian extinction due to their hard exoskeletons, were nearly exterminated during this extinction.

Permian–Triassic extinction

This mass extinction that occurred 251 million years ago, is considered the worst in all history because around 96% of species were lost. Popular as “The Great Dying”, this mass extinction took away the ancient coral species.

Life today descended from the 4% of surviving species. After this event, marine life developed a complexity not seen before and snails, urchins, and crabs emerged as new species.

Triassic–Jurassic extinction

The Triassic-Jurassic extinction happened between 199 million and 214 million years ago. The blame has been placed on an asteroid impact, climate change, and flood basalt eruptions. During the beginning of this era, mammals outnumbered dinosaurs. By the end, dinosaurs’ ancestors (archosaurs) reigned the earth’s surface. This extinction laid the path that allowed for the evolution of dinosaurs which later existed for around 135 million years.

Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction (End of the dinosaurs)

It is the most well-known of all the masse extinctions. The end of the Cretaceous-Paleogene brought on the extinction of dinosaurs. A combination of volcanic activity, asteroid impact, and climate change effectively ended 76% of life on earth 65 million years ago. This extinction period allowed for the evolution of mammals on land and sharks in the sea.

And the next – Holocene extinction

Professor Daniel Rothman has concluded that the carbon emissions are mainly responsible for such mass extinctions and have increased significantly in the 19th century.

He analysed that 310 gigatonnes carbon is required to lead Earth to its 6th mass extinction, which is likely to happen by the year 2100.

According to Rothman, the entire process will take about 10,000 years. Ecological disasters like these cannot happen in a short span.

“If left unchecked, the carbon cycle would move into a realm which would be no longer stable, and would behave in a way that would be difficult to predict. In the geologic past, this type of behaviour is associated with mass extinction.”

It was at the Turkish airport that passport control officers stopped Natalie Dzenkiv and took her into custody. The reason will shock you but at the same time, you won’t be able to stop laughing. The officials believed that the damsel was looking ‘too young’ in comparison to the age mentioned in her passport.

She’s 41 but looks like 20:

It was hard to digest on the part of the officers that the actual age of Natalie is 41 years, as she appears to be in her 20s. This made officers doubt her identity and they thought that she used the passport of somebody else.

The officers realized their mistake when they got to know that Natalie is a famous celeb of Ukrainia, thanks to her fans who identified her and rushed to her for pics, selfies and autographs.

Haryana Government Reveals The Value Of Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s Dera Sacha Sauda And It’s Huge

Haryana and Punjab High Court orders state government

There were some media reports which suggested that the successor governments have extended the helping hand for the construction and development of Dera Sacha Sauda group. A full bench of the Haryana & Punjab High Court asked the Haryana government on Wednesday to look deep into the matter.

The High Court also directed the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department to look into the allegations of money laundering in the functioning of the Dera. Additionally, the Haryana police Special Investigation Team was asked to look into the FIRs registered in Sirsa in the cases of missing persons.

State government responds with reports

The ML Khattar government has now submitted a report to Haryana and Punjab High Court in which Ram Rahim’s Dera Sacha Sauda has been valued at Rs 1,453 crore.

Interestingly, this is the value of Dera headquarters in Sirsa, where the Dera headquarters are located. The estimate doesn’t include the Dera properties outside of Haryana.

The Haryana government has also estimated that Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s organisation owns properties worth around Rs 1,600 crore across the state. Also, the real value of the properties owned by Ram Rahim Singh’s Dera could be much higher as the government has drawn estimates on the basis of Haryana’s collector rates. It is being said that the market value of the Dera properties could be around 1.5 times the figure that the government has arrived at.

Will Dera pay for the losses?

There are indications from the court that Dera may have to pay for the losses caused due to riots happened in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi post the court decision against Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

There was a loss of the lives of more than 35 people as the crowd supporting Ram Rahim created violence and set many places on fire.
