Yesterday’s tragedy at Elphinstone road has broken our heart. This disaster was expected and many people had already cautioned the authorities about the same. The moment they realized the risk, they tweeted to railway officials to take care of the issue.

Had the officials taken those warnings seriously, we wouldn’t have seen such a horrifying day. All the concerned departments were tagged but still, the warnings were ignored. Shouldn’t they have addressed the problem that these citizens were facing?

22 people were killed and 30 of them were injured and it could have seriously been avoided, if there no negligence. Rather than being shocked, Mumbaikars were angry because their constant reminders to authorities were smoothly ignored.

Right from 2013, some people had started giving alerts, but unfortunately, all in vain. If you are thinking, we are randomly telling you things, then you are wrong.

8. Humans were made to eat meat

Even though he loves you, he has a personal life too and he needs space in it. You might not like his friends but it must not be the case with him otherwise he would have left their company long ago. By condemning his friends, you might hurt him and chances are that he may make distance with you. Yes, that’s true!

9. Appreciating other men:

Talking about your favorite actor is okay but if you intentionally or unintentionally make him jealous by appreciating or discussing about other men’s qualities while at the same time, compare him with them and disrespect him, it is certainly a big NO.

10. If you really loved me, you would do it:

Of course, he loves you and he doesn’t need to prove it over and over again. Don’t taunt him by saying such remarks. No one is perfect and he makes utmost efforts to make you happy. When you talk like this, he only gets disheartened.

A few days back, Aditya Pancholi had sent a defamation notice to Kangana following her serious allegations.

Kangana had alleged Aditya for abusing her physically and mentally when she was new in Mumbai. This is what she said during an interview with Rajat Sharma.

“I’m a year younger than his daughter. I was a minor. For me, this was all very new – the world that I had come into. I remember going to his wife and meeting her, and I’m like, ‘Please save me! I’m younger than your daughter. I’m a minor and I can’t tell my parents’.”

Aditya had called all her allegations false, and in return he along with his wife Zarina had decided to sue her.

Now Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee has responded to the defamation notice sent by Aditya Pancholi. He said in a statement-

“The defamation notice received by the Advocate representing Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have been duly replied to. My client who has been a victim of crime has largely spoken about her personal experiences, which were already reported on various media platforms since the year 2007. Besides the laws of the land do not give any added advantage to any male person to silence any (victim) woman under the threat of filing defamation proceedings against her.”

Now that both sides have worn the war suits, it will be interesting to see who comes out as a winner.

We are talking about a young boy Shaheen Afridi who made his first-class debut recently and what a classic performance he showed on the field!

Making an explosive debut in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Shaheen bagged 8 wickets giving off just 39 runs in 15 overs for Khan Research Laboratory (KRL) against Rawalpindi.

In just his debut match he broke the earlier record of 8/58, set in 1973-74 by Nadeem Malik.

Shaheen Afridi was quoted as saying by Wisen India-

“I owe it to my elder brother. I was born and raised in Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency of FATA. I was very fortunate that Riaz bhai played for Pakistan and I did not face much problems or resistance in choosing cricket as my career. He was a great inspiration for me and helped me learn the basics of bowling. He would take me to the ground and told me to play with a tape ball. His contribution is great.”

Shaheen took 1 wicket in the first innings of the match and then 8 in the second. Talking about the same he said-

“It’s amazing, taking nine wickets on my first-class debut,” he said. “It was definitely a dream start but I want to do better for my country. It has only pushed me in my resolve to do more, keep myself fit and listen attentively to my coaches and mentors. I want to wear the green shirt and follow the legacy of great fast bowlers that Pakistan has produced. I truly want to serve my country through this art of bowling.”

According to local media, she said that the split occurred due to the swollen battery soon after she put it on charge. She was reportedly using the correct Apple supplied charger cable and adaptor at the time of the incident. The phone was the 64 GB Gold variant and Reportedly, Apple is currently examining it.

Apparently the iPhone 8 Plus’ battery was manufactured by Amperex Technology Limited- the same company that made the batteries of Galaxy Note 7.

KBC 9 has got its first Crorepati finally in Jamshedpur’s Anamika Majumdar. The 41-year-old lady played immensely well and knew the answer to the question worth Rs 7 crores also, but she decided to not take the chance and hence quit the game to ensure Rs 1 crore.

Talking about the same she told, Daily Bhaskar-

“Honestly, I was nervous throughout the game. Even if I knew the answer, I wasn’t much confident about it. So for me, it was like taking a risk on every question. Also, when I reached on 1 crore question, I was confident on my answer. But in spite of it, I took lot of time to answer. I did not wanted to take a risk at that time since lot of hopes were on me. If my answer would be wrong then from 1 crore, I would land it up to 3 lakhs. Thankfully, my answer was correct (smiles). However, I wasn’t confident on the last question and so; I decided to quit the show.”

To go back and know about her background and life, one feels really inspired. It was surely not an easy path for Anamika who wanted to go Mother Teresa way and become a social worker. In fact, she participated in KBC so that she can use that money for her NGO – Faith In India. Talking about it, she said-

“I always wanted to become like Mother Teresa; I never wanted to get married. But, my mother insisted me to marry and I couldn’t refuse to it. Post marriage, I couldn’t take up much of social work as I was tied up with lot of family responsibilities. However in 2010, I started working towards my dream of becoming a social worker. And now, there’s no looking back.”

She further added-

“Seven years back, I started working towards the upliftment of poor and underprivileged children through education, art and culture and awareness. A few years later, we built an NGO – Faith in India. However, we did not have enough funds to run the organisation. And so, my only motive behind KBC registration was to collect money as much as possible to invest in the social cause.”

Family

Anamika Majumdar is married to Satya Priya Majumdar who works in a construction firm. They have two children Arnav Majumdar (14) and Prerna Majumdar (12).

The early days of marriage were not good for Anamika as there were a lot of problems in family regarding property which led her to depression. To find peace, she starting getting involved in social services again.

Husband and wife keep on having arguments on the topic of her work as he feels that Anamika doesn’t give proper time to their kids.

Wants PM to visit Jharkhand

Anamika wants PM Narendra Modi to visit Jharkand once to understand the needs of the poor people there especially women. In fact, she also wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi four months back. The lady is still waiting for the answer.

Indian team launched the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign led by Kohli before the final ODI between India-Australia today. They cleaned up the place and disposed the garbage in the dustbin; a clip of the same was uploaded on social media and it soon went viral. Kohli gave an important message “Garbage’s place is in the dustbin” and we totally agree with him.

BCCI tweeted a clip of the team’s Swachhta campaign but looks as if it has not gone down well with Australian journalist Dennis Freedman. He trolled team India & as usual, got it back from Twitter.
