Priyanka Chopra’s exit from upcoming much-awaited film Bharat left everyone thinking. It was earlier said that she walked out of the film because of her marriage but at the same time, she signed two films – one in Bollywood and one in Hollywood.

Salman Khan was recently quizzed about the same and he said that Priyanka told us about her marriage and I had suggested that we can work out on the dates but she was clear about her decision.

Salman also said that it was Priyanka who wanted to be a part of Bharat and called her sister Arpita 1000 times to get a role in it. She even called director Ali Abbas Zafar to get her on board.

Salman said that he doesn’t know the exact reason behind her decision to leave the film but it might be that she doesn’t want to work with him or in Bollywood anymore.

However, Salman said that there is no problem between them and he is happy for her. He also wished Priyanka best in her life and said that he is happy about her engagement.

We are talking Courtney Whithorn who is just 20 yrs old but has gone through a very tough time in this young age as she suffered from skin cancer of a rare type. She says that she developed acral lentiginous subungual melanoma because four years ago, she bit her nail completely off.

Originally belonging to Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, she shifted to Australia’s Gold Coast nine years ago. As per her, she started nail biting because she was bullied at school and one day she bite her thumb nail completely off.

As a result, the nail turned black but somehow she managed to hide it from her friends and family members. However when Courtney visited a doctor, she got the shock of her lifetime as the doctor told her that she had cancer and surgery was the only way to deal with it. She was completely broken when she came to know that it was her nail biting habit that has resulted in such a crisis.

The whole nail bed was removed as the surgeon didn’t want to take any risk and some more tests were conducted which confirmed that she didn’t have any more cancerous cells. However, the doctors still wanted to amputate the thumb as it is the correct way of dealing such disease and it is the protocol too.

When she came to know that her thumb would be amputated, she almost had a panic attack. Courtney and her family saw another melanoma specialist who also confirmed that amputation has to happen as this is such a rare case.

Before the third surgery, the doctor told her that if anything cancerous was found in her thumb, it would be removed completely but thankfully, the thumb was there when she woke up.

Monitoring will be done on Courtney for the next 5 years as she will need to get scanned regularly and her blood will be tested. Doctors are not sure about the location of cancer in her thumb because of which if it comes back again, her thumb will be removed completely.

Acral lentiginous melanoma usually happens in palm or soles but sometimes it happens around a nail too. Mostly it occurs in dark skinned people but it can happen in people of any skin type.

Apart from “The Nun”, JP Dutta’s multi-starrer movie “Paltan” featuring Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, etc. also hit theatres on September 7, 2018.

“Paltan” didn’t succeed in impressing audience and collected Rs 1.15-1.25 crore on its opening day.

Directed by Sajid Ali and produced by Ekta Kapoor, “Laila Majnu” starred fresh faces Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri. The flick had a poor start and it earned just Rs 30 lakh on the first day.

“Gali Guleiyan” starring Manoj Bajpayee got a pathetic start and minted only Rs 5 lakh on Friday.

The members of this community have lived an oppressed life for a long time and not just the Indian society but the law was also against them and used to consider them as criminal.

Now more and more homosexuals will come out of their closets and talk to their family about their sexual orientation and that too with no fear.

A member of LGBTQ community, Arnab Nandy from Mumbai has shared his side of story on social networking site Facebook. He has made an attempt to encourage people to live a life of their own choice.

He took to Facebook and wrote the status as “Came out of the closet” and talked about how he decided to tell his loved and near ones about his sexual identity. He manages to tell about it to his best friend and other friends but the most difficult task was to tell his parents about it. However, the good part was that his parents were not angry and they supported him.

But the problem here was that law was not with them because of which his parents, especially his father who is a government servant, was not able to support him completely.

But on the day of SC’s judgment when he entered his house after the verdict, they hugged him and congratulated him as now being a gay and loving the other one is legal. His mother was happy and she asked him to make it public that he is gay so that no one will come with a girl’s details for marriage.

Today as I entered my home mom and dad gave me a tight hug and said in their happy face “Congratulation Son now it’s legal” and I couldn’t help but let out tears of joy (I’m getting this sudden tear burst even while writing this). I learnt that my mother started sensitizing the folks around her. My Dad is a govt employee and this law was holding him back to fight for me in the fear of what such laws create in the mind of our parents. Today on this historic day 6/9 (what a damn day, brings back the college nostalgia of my obsession with the number 069 starting from the ID number which I got in college) my parents are so happy that she told me “Now go broadcast it” “Acha hai abhi koi ladhki ka rishta leke nahi aayega” (Good now that we won’t get marriage proposals of girls for you). She is my Gem <3 from not knowing anything about LGBT to becoming a person sensitizing people around her, I am proud of her :’-) .

Now the next step is awareness so that we live in harmony along with our fellow Indians. We still have a very long way to go to reach a state where we see same-sex marriage in India. I hope to see Queer folks not trying to fit into heteronormativity and cherishing what they really are. We are not asking for sympathy but a safe and friendly place to live in harmony. Our lack of awareness, our assumptions, ignorance and phobias are killing our closeted friends. Something similar happened recently as an Australia based doctor living in the UK objected to the way a flight attendant referred to her.

The flight attendant used the word “Miss” for her and she had a problem with it because she’s a PhD and wants everyone to use the title “Doctor” instead.

Dr Siobhan O’Dwyer took to Twitter and wrote-

Now Sonali’s husband has posted a tweet in which he has requested people to not believe rumours and spread it. He also asked people to use the social media responsibly. He wrote-

Ben bowled a short delivery to KL Rahul who tried to place the ball on the leg side but while starting the run, his shoe began to come out of his foot and then it flew in air and landed on the danger area of the pitch. Ben helped Rahul by picking up the shoe and gave him after loosening the strings.

It’s Hollywood Vs Bollywood this week and the former has easily defeated the latter with a big margin. In fact, on the very first day, we saw that the total collections of all the three Bollywood movies were not even near to what “The Nun” earned on its opening day.

The flick earned Rs 7.75 crore on Friday while on the second day, it minted Rs 9.50 crore; hence, the total earnings made by “The Nun” so far is Rs 17.25 crore.

JP Dutta’s “Paltan” that features multiple actors including Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane and Esha Gupta also hit theatres on September 7; however, its magic didn’t work on audiences and the flick failed to get remarkably good earnings.

On the first day, “Paltan” earned Rs 1.25 crore whereas Rs 1.7 crore is the collection made by it on Saturday which totals the amount to Rs 2.95 crore.

Ekta Kapoor’s “Laila Majnu” in which fresh faces Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri are given a chance could collect just Rs 30 lakh on the opening day. However, the movie showed improvement on the second day and earned Rs 50 lakh, totaling the amount to Rs 80 lakh so far.

The Nun:

Day 1 – Rs 7.75 crore

Day 2 – Rs 9.50 crore

Total – Rs 17.25 crore

Paltan:

Day 1 – Rs 1.25 crore

Day 2 – Rs 1.70 crore

A multi-level marketing company named Future Maker Life Care Global Marketing Pvt. Ltd. that has its headquarters in Haryana is now in problem as Cyberabad police has arrested its MD and Chairman Radhe Shyam who is a class 7 dropout and another high official Surender Singh.

All the five bank accounts of the firm have been seized and the total amount that was in these accounts was around Rs 200 crore while police suspects that the firm has collected nearly Rs 1200 crore from 20 lakh people.

As per Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, prime targets of the company used to be jobless youngsters, retired persons and housewives who are looking for some extra money. The maximum victims belong to Haryana, Delhi, Orissa, Maharashtra, Hyderabad and Madhya Pradesh. People were lured by showing the dream of earning huge money. Registration fees for becoming a member was Rs 7,500 out of which Rs 2,500 was paid as cash back and for getting the remaining amount, the person has to make purchases of medicines and clothes. People who join the scheme are promised Rs 60,000 in two years which means 12 times of Rs 5,000 (7,500 – 2,500 = 5,000).

Economic Offences Wing of Cyberabad police has taken action and seized all these bank accounts.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has requested people to be alert and not to become victim of multi-level marketing frauds. He said that anyone who joins the money circulation scheme can also be sent to jail as per Sec 3 of the Prize Chits & Money Circulation Schemes (PCMCS) Banning Act.

Please be aware of such frauds and if you come across anything like this, inform police.

The movie had a great opening with Rs 7.75 crore and the figures further showed growth on Saturday as it minted Rs 9.50 crore. However, they were not as good as expected on Sunday as “The Nun” earned Rs 9.75 crore in its first weekend, totaling the amount to Rs 27 crore.

Sarvjeet Singh Bedi doesn’t need any introduction as he is a pretty famous or rather we should say ‘infamous’ name who has been given the tag of a criminal even before his crime was proved.

Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about the same man who is probably a victim instead of being the wrongdoer and has suffered a lot, thanks to an innocent (satirical) girl named Jasleen Kaur who filed a case against him for allegedly passing objectionable comments on her as she was walking down Tilak Nagar Street.

The incident took place on August 23, 2015 and ever since, the man has been tormented, if not physically then mentally. He has to be present in the court whenever he gets a date and this drama of “Tareekh Par Tareekh” left him frustrated.

Even more disgustingly, the complainant Jasleen Kaur has not attended even a single hearing as she is out of the country and is busy in brightening her future.

It’s very pathetic on the part of Sarvjeet that his life has almost stopped after that incident took place in view of the fact that he cannot do anything fruitful in terms of career as he has the label of a criminal, no matter whether he committed the crime or not.

As per Sarvjeet, when he got a date in November 2017, Jasleen’s father attended the hearing and when the judge asked as to why the complainant didn’t appear before the court, he said that she’s pursuing her studies abroad and would come in March after her examinations would be over. When the judge asked why she didn’t come on that hearing, her father replied that due to Christmas, the ticket’s price was very high, around Rs 1 lakh, and he couldn’t afford to get such costly ticket booked for her.

The court decided May 2018 as the next date for Jasleen as her exams would have been over by that time; however, Sarvjeet had to be present before the court in February 2018 as well. Even in May, Jasleen didn’t attend the court and her father said that she couldn’t come as she was busy in her studies but she would certainly appear in the next hearing.

The next date that the judge gave was August 2018 and even in that hearing, Jasleen didn’t come. Sarvjeet added that it’s indeed his good luck that the new judge in the case asked him as to what he wanted. To this, he said that if Jasleen can go to Canada to get settled and have a thriving career, it’s his right too to do something in terms of his career which has stopped after the incident.

He said that he wants to be free from this matter of court, case and hearings so that his life starts proceeding. Subsequently, the judge issued a bailable warrant against Jasleen without asking anything further to anyone. The next date given by the court is December 1, 2018, and if she doesn’t come in that hearing too, a non-bailable warrant will be issued against her or the case will be dismissed.

This is what Sarvjeet wrote in his Facebook post:

“Finally judge has issued bailable warrant against her. And court me ane ke liye ladki ke father saab ko last date di… (father saab ko isliye di date coz girl abhi bhi out of country hai)”

As of Sarvjeet, he prays to God that the case gets dismissed so that he can focus on his career, future and life.

It’s definitely some sort of relief for the guy and we wish that he gets justice ASAP as he has already suffered to a great extent.
