The lives of the rich and famous never fail to attract us. One of the most fascinating and interesting aspects about Bollywood is the relationship that an actor shares with other actors. Interestingly enough, there has been much speculation about the relationship that an actor shares with his or her siblings. Bollywood is full of sibling jodis who look alike. 5. Raima Sen and Riya Sen

Alok Nath Booked On Rape Charges By The Mumbai Police

A few days ago, Vinta Nanda gave momentum to the #Metoo movement in India when she accused one of the most “sanskaari” men on television, Alok Nath of rape and harassment.

In October, Vinta penned her grievances in a detailed post on Facebook, where she recounts her horror, almost 19 years after the incident happened. She claimed that she had remained mum all this while, but refused to bear the torture any longer.

In her post, Vinta wrote, “I trusted him and sat in his car. I have faint memory after that. I can remember more liquor being poured into my mouth and I remember being violated endlessly. When I woke up the next afternoon, I was in pain. I hadn’t just been raped, I was taken to my own house and had been brutalised.”

Following Vinta’s accusations, Alok Nath slammed a defamation case against her, where he demanded one rupee from her, along with an apology. He retorted saying, “It [rape] must have happened, but someone else would have done it.”

After Vinta, several other actresses also came up and narrated their horrifying accounts of harassment in the hands of Babuji, aka Alok Nath. But every time, the accused found a way to evade questions and denied every single charge that was made against him.

However, the Mumbai Police have been extremely cooperative in this case, and Alok Nath has been booked on account of rape. It must be mentioned here that this is one the very few cases in the #Metoo movement which has seen the police being involved and actually registering a complaint.

We hope Vinta receives justice.

The film is based on a true incident, where Syed Aamir Raza, an ordinary man takes on one of the biggest multinational companies in the world. The film is finally set to go live as a ZEE5 original from 21st November and we can’t keep calm. You shouldn’t either!

Have you seen the trailer of the film yet? Here are five reasons why you need to buckle your seats and watch the movie as soon as it is releases today:

1. Hard Hitting Content

First and foremost, it is the hard hitting content of the film which should convince you to watch it. It is based on the journey of Syed Aamir Raza Hussain, who blew the whistle on a multinational company. Don’t worry, we aren’t going to give you any spoilers, you can watch how Hussain took on the nearly impossible battle with the conglomerate yourself!

2. Danis Tanovic As Director

The film is made by Oscar-winning director Danis Tanovic. For those who aren’t familiar with Bosnian cinema, Tanovic is one of the greatest directors this generation has seen. He has made a beautiful film, which touches the right chords without having to rely on over the top acting or melodrama. Moreover, he has even used live footage for the film. In case you’ve forgotten, it was Tanovic’s “No Man’s Land” which beat Lagaan at the Oscars almost 16 years ago.

3. Emraan Hashmi

In this film, we will be seeing Emraan Hashmi in a completely new avatar. So far, we have only seen him in romantic roles or in the role of stereotypical Bollywood characters. Here, Hashmi undertakes a completely different persona where he portrays a whistleblower on the quest to reveal one of the biggest scandals that the world has seen. The question arises if he’s been able to do justice to the role. To find out, you’re going to have to watch the film.

4. Stellar Cast Performances

The film looks top notch performance wise as well. Under the direction of Tanovic, you’d expect no less than stellar performances from the whole cast. Along with Emraan, it also stars a great actor like Adil Hussain, who has already proven himself as an exceptional actor in films like English Vinglish and Parched.

Salman Khan Lands In Legal Trouble For Hoisting Pakistan Flag

By now, this isn’t even breaking news, really. Salman Khan is on the receiving end of another controversy. How he manages to find himself at the heart of every controversy, we’ll never know!

This recent incident happened while Salman was shooting for his film Bharat. The directors wanted to shoot the film near the Wagah border, but due to safety issues, the scene had to be shot near a village in Punjab.

A video showed Salman hoisting the Pakistani flag which angered Indians on the internet as well. Despite the fact that this was merely a film shot, a large number of people took offence in the matter.

In the scene, Salman would have to hoist the flag of Pakistan. This proved to be extremely troubling and disturbing for the residents of the local villages, who got annoyed and ultimately lodged a complaint against Salman for having hoisted the Pakistani flag while still on Indian soil.

Some sources mentioned that the complaint had been lodged against Salman, the entir film crew and also the hotel where the film crew were seeking shelter. Although it was explained to them that this is just a film, the locals refused to see sense.

Well, technically neither viewpoint is entirely wrong. Can you blame the locals for protesting? But then again, this was a scene for a film.

Badhaai Ho Beats Thugs Of Hindostan At The Box Office, It Is A Shocker

In really shocking news, box office collections show that Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho has defeated Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan. Completely unexpected, right?

When Thugs of Hindostan opened to 52 plus crores on the very first day, it was expected that the film would end up crossing over 200 crores in the first week itself. But unfortunately, the film could only make about 134 crores in the first week.

But what really went wrong? Was it over the top acting by the cast members? Or was it the melodramatic and unnecessary song sequences? Or was it the storyline in general? For whatever reason, Aamir’s film sunk like one of his ships in the film.

When the film barely crossed 100 crores in the first weekend, its fate was sealed. This was going to be another major flop. But another film by then had slowly but steadily crept to the top.

It is none other than the Ayushmann Khurrana – Neena Gupta starrer Badhaai Ho. Made with a smaller budget as compared to Thugs of Hindostan, it was expected that the film would be wrapped up in 115 crores. However, till now, the film has made over 126 crores, and is still running steady, both in India and overseas.

Like we always say, good acting and a stellar concept is the ideal formula for a box office success. Neena Gupta’s heartfelt acting, the amusing and highly relatable mother – son relationship in the film, the crisp and witty dialogues and a simple down to earth storyline – that is what makes Badhaai Ho a genuinely “feel-good” film, which is bound to bring a smile to your faces.

50% Of ATMs May Shutdown By March 2019. Get Ready To Live The Nightmare Again

The memories of demonetisation are still fresh in everyone’s mind. No one has forgotten the long queues in which they had to stand for complete days to get a Rs 2000 note. By the time the queue used to get half satisfied, the ATMs would go empty. Those who used to get the note by chance then struggled for a change.

It was a really terrible situation in which the government had put us and even a little thought of it sends the chill down our spine.

Now that we’ve mostly recovered from that nightmare something else is coming in our way. 50% of the total ATMs available in India may go down by March 2019 due to the recent regulatory guidelines for ATMs hardware and software upgrades.

As per the CATMi Director V Balasubramanian the recent mandates on cash management standards and the Cassette Swap method of loading cash require a huge investment. Only to implement the Cassette Swap would need an additional outlay of Rs. 3,500 crore and that’s going to put some really big pressure on them.

As of now, India has a total of 2.38 lakh ATMs and approximately 1.13 lakh of them will shut down by March 2018. The process will reportedly start from January onwards only. This is when we need a million of total ATMs rightly distributed in urban, semi-urban and rural areas to cater to the whole population.

So, coming March get ready to stand in long ATM queues all over again to get your own money out of your bank account. We are surely moving backwards here.

Bebo, the ultimate diva of Bollywood, has given us some really amazing and commendable films throughout her career. Chameli. Udta Punjab. Jab We Met. The list is endless. But then again, the super glamorous star has also delivered some pretty big (and often unexpected) flops in the recent years.

Check out 5 of her biggest flops, which she could have done without:

1. Tashan (2008)

Although Kareena sizzled on the screen with her size zero figure for this film, Tashan was a major flop, for reasons that are well known. Also, it was on the sets of Tashan that sparks flew between her and Saif. But blonde hair, Bebo? Really?

2. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013)

The Punit Malhotra film showed promise in the beginning, and even packed a few good song sequences. Yet, the film performed poorly at the box office. The non-existent chemistry between Kareena and Imran could be one of the reasons.

3. Fida (2004)

Fida, starring Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor, was intended to be a psychological thriller. But believe us when we say that we couldn’t sit through the entire film.

4. Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003)

The film is way too loud, on both our ears and eyes. From Hrithik’s extreme overacting to the CGI parrot, Bebo should have refused the film in the first place.

5. Kyon Ki (2005)

Salman Khan’s hairstyle. Do we need to say more?

Sreesanth Opens Up About Harbhajan Singh’s Slapping Incident On Bigg Boss

Sreeesanth has had quite a career in cricket so far. He kickstarted his journey as one of the most passionate and talented cricketers in the team. In case you don’t remember, Sreeesanth played a major role in the 2011 World Cup, with his ability to tackle even the best batsmen in the world.

Yet, his career was cut short when he was accused and found guilty in the spot fixing scandal in the Indian Premier League and the BCCI made a decision to ban him. Recently, Sreesanth has been brought back into the limelight in the 12th season of Bigg Boss.

However, one of the most memorable controversies amongst Sreesanth’s many scandals was the slapping incident of the first IPL season. In this season, Sreesanth was playing for Kings XI Punjab whereas his fellow team mate, Harbhajan Singh was playing for Mumbai Indians.

In a moment of heat, Harbhajan Singh had slapped Sreeesanth on field, which instantly led to a major controversy. Sreesanth was in tears following the incident and had to be consoled by his team mates. Harbhajan Singh had reportedly apologized for the incident and even mentioned on record that he regretted doing it.

Sreeesanth had remained more or less mum about the event, but opened up about it on Bigg Boss recently. In his confession, Sreeesanth said that the incident was more damaging than what it seemed like, because Harbhajan had not just slapped him, he had intended to hit him with more force. Shocking, isn’t it?

Ashwin Shuts Down Trolls Who Tried To Question His Performance In Australia

Some say that the best way to deal with online trolls is ignoring them. Clearly, Ravichandran Ashwin does not fall in that category. Recently, the cricketer was badly trolled online for his poor performance in Australia.

At the T20I in Brisbane, India kept fighting till the very end, before losing to Australia. However, it was Ashwin who had to face the brunt of a few trolls on Twitter. But don’t worry, his comebacks are bound to make you chuckle.

On Twitter, Ashwin had written a status mentioning the Australia pitch. In a complicated match, it was the size of the field which served as an advantage for the Indian team. While most grounds have smaller boundaries, aAustralian stadiums are known for having large, expansive grounds. As a result, Ashwin wrote that it was “a delight for the bowlers.”

Of course, trolls couldn’t wait to slam him.
A troll wrote, “Tum waha 6s khaate the” – a feeble attempt to be witty we must say.

But Ashwin is not someone who takes it lying down. He always makes it a point to reply to the trolls, thus shutting them up. This time he relied on statistics and facts to shut down his trolls. He replied to it saying, “2 for 26, 1 for 27 and 1 for 37 in the 3-0 win last series. Thanks buddy.”

Another troll mockingly asked him about the number of wickets in the Australian test. To this, Ashwin gave a fitting reply and won our hearts. He said, “I am the one whose got the records, please go and take a look. I can’t Google you and find you.”

Ahh, Ashwin. Way too many keyboard warriors around, we should all take back a thing or two from this.

Shocked with the message, Neha gave a fitting reply. She said, “Let me take to media now and make you a little famous. The way you treat women.”

Neha had taken a screenshot of the message and posted it on Facebook. She also urged her fans to help her track the man down, so that she could take action against him. Conveniently enough, it was possible to identify the man. He is working in the UAE and lives there with his parents.

So, there’s a new starkid on the block, and she’s going to be launched with Saif Ali Khan for her first film. It’s Pooja Bedi’s daughter, Alaia F., you guys!

Recently, Alaia posted a picture on her Instagram account, which was a screenshot of a magazine article. The article mentioned Saif Ali Khan’s new project, Jawani Jaaneman, which is to be directed by Nitin Kakkar, the director of Filmistaan.

The story is apparently a light hearted movie about a forty year old man and his relationship with his daughter. Alaifa will be playing the role of his daughter, and couldn’t seem to hold her excitement in her Instagram post.

Saif said in an interview, “I’m excited about working with Alaia. She has all the qualities we were looking for a young lead. She has the charm and energy to take the film to the level it needs and I’m looking forward to getting to work with her. We are lucky to have found our perfect cast.”

Safe to say, Alaia, who has also inherited Pooja Bedi’s striking good looks, is a sensation on social media. She is spunky, peppy, youthful, lively and just what someone her age should be. She had dreamed of being an actress since she was about 16 years old, and we think she has the oomph factor required to make it big in this industry. Vodafone Idea And Airtel Companies To Switch Off Their 200 Million Users Soon. Here’s Why

After the arrival of JIO, there has been a huge jump in the user consumption regarding the data and calling services. JIO made it really easy for a common man to use the internet and access video content on a daily basis. The prices have down drastically and this has severely impacted the business of other telecom providers.

Service providers like Airtel, Vodafone Idea have been crying since the past few years because they are hardly left with anything. A major amount of users have shifted to JIO because the packs of other companies are way too high and unaffordable.

Now companies like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have decided to switch off their 200 million users considering the way they are paying for services.

Basically, the users with low Average Realisation Per User (ARPU) are going to lose their connection soon. A user on an average has to spend more than Rs 35 per month with a telecom company and those who are spending less than it must know that their subscription will be cancelled.

As per the CEOs of these companies, a huge user base is using their SIM cards as a secondary option. They do a minimum recharge of Rs 10 and keep the connection active to receive incoming calls.

However, they hope their plan will make these users switch their operator to primary or increase the monthly expenses.

This Friday, Indian Box Office has seen the release of an interesting film titled The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City. The film lacks big star cast, budget and has released without much hype but has a really interesting concept.

Story and Screenplay

Mumbai is known as the city of dreams. So many people arrive every day to fulfil their dreams and all they witness is the harsh and dark reality that remains hidden behind the glitter and charm.

The film’s plot revolves around the grim reality of the city of dreams which no one wants to see. There are seven individuals Sumit Balsaria (Kay Kay Menon), Zulfiqar Hussain (Mahesh Bhatt), Anand (Nikhil Ratnaparkhi), Parul (Jyoti Malshe), Kavya (Neha Khan), Warren Lobo (Deep Raj Rana) and Prince (Avii) who are strangely connected to each other in this city which itself plays an important character.

The Dark Side… has a rather dark and heavy plot which may put off many people but you have to understand that it’s a film that doesn’t promise entertainment in the first place. Those who love hard hitting and reality-based cinema may find a lot to relate in this film which talks about the individual challenges that a person faces every day.

Performances and Direction

Kay Kay Menon has done extremely well in the film, Mahesh Bhatt is natural and is a treat to watch. Rest of the star cast is also fine. Director has done a good job in churning out some really nice performances.

Overall, The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City is a nice one time watch film especially for those who have seen the Mumbai life from close.

Kartik Aaryan Gives The Cutest Reply To Sara Ali Khan’s Proposal On Koffee With Karan

Season 6 of Koffee With Karan on Hotstar has seen some of the wittiest replies, scandalous confessions and adorable moments in all of its history. Recently, Sara Ali Khan was invited to the show alongside her father, Saif Ali Khan. This particular episode was the best one so far, keeping aside the opening episode with Alia and Deepika, of course.

The episode saw Sara opening up like never before, with some really goofy and candid statements. She even spoke of her battle with obesity, her equation with step mother, Kareena Kapoor and her relationship with her parents, Saif and Amrita Singh.

However, one of the cutest moments on the episode was when Sara was asked to choose between actors, about whom she would marry or date. Sara spontaneously replied that she would marry Ranbir Kapoor and date Kartik Aaryan. And dare we say, Sara may have even slightly blushed when she gave her response.

At an event, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star was asked about Sara and if he had anything to add to her confession. The actor seemed to blush at the mention of it and said that he doesn’t really know what to say. He also added that Sara is extremely pretty. When probed further, he said “Haan main matlab coffee peena chahunga!”
