Jonty Rhodes may have played cricket for South Africa but he is one of the most loved cricketers in the cricket obsessed nation India. It wonโ€™t be incorrect to say that he is an inspiration for the young cricketers and he has made people understand that saving runs while fielding is as important as scoring runs while batting.

The Indian cricket team is presently in West Indies and after winning the T20I and ODI series, now they are clashing with the hosts in the test series. In the first innings, India scored 297 runs in which Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also made a good contribution of 58 runs.

For the uninitiated, Jadeja is known more because of his wonderful fielding skills despite the fact that he is a good batsman as well as bowler. Jonty took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to praise Jadeja in his own style.

He tweeted,

โ€œLove it when a fielder scores valuable runs #topknock @imjadeja #INDvWIโ€

Jonty was quite happy with Jadejaโ€™s performance but his tweet didnโ€™t go well with one of the fans of Jadeja who reverted with stats to make Jonty understand that the Indian cricketer is far better than him. Whatโ€™s more, he also made a comparison between him and Jadeja, saying that the latter is known for his batting and bowling too while the former is known just for his fielding.

The tweet was insulting in nature but Jonty is a cool person and he gave a wonderful reply to the troller, as he wrote,

Time Releases Worldโ€™s Greatest Places 2019, These Indian Destinations Are In The List

In Time Magazineโ€™s second annual list of the 2019 โ€˜worldโ€™s greatest places,โ€™ Gujaratโ€™s Statue of Unity and Mumbaiโ€™s Soho house has made their places, says a report. The international magazine has labeled these places as โ€˜noteworthy destinations to experience right nowโ€™.

The Statue of Unity in Gujarat is the worldโ€™s tallest statue and it is 182 meters tall. It is the statue of Indiaโ€™s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and who was also known as the Iron Man of India. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, commemorating one of the strongest pillars of free India.

While the Soho House in Mumbai is the 11-storey building which has a library a movie theatre with 34 seats and a rooftop swimming pool, facing the Arabian Sea.

Time said that the unique feel comes in the shape of block-printed fabrics from Rajasthan; handwoven cane furniture; environmentally sustainable, sari-coated lampshades; and some 200 art pieces by mostly South Asian artists.

The Soho House is the first set up of the hotel chain in Asia, which already exists across the United States and Europe.

Egyptโ€™s Red Sea Mountain Trail, Newseum in Washington, Chadโ€™s Zakouma National Park, and The Shed in New York City also feature in the list.

Netizens Trolled Bumrah For His Underwear In Pic With Kohli; Bumrah Gave It Back To Them In Style

Indian cricketers know pretty well how to enjoy their free time and recently they were seen having some fun moments at the Antigua beach. Indian skipper Virat Kohli shared a photo in which he was seen with some of his teammates and support staff. All of them were not wearing shirts; while fans went gaga over the fitness of Bumrah and Virat, a number of people trolled Rohit Sharma for hiding behind his teammates so that his belly is not visible.

Jasprit Bumrah also shared a photo along with Virat Kohli in which they both were showing off their lean body but it seems that Bumrah went on to show more than necessary as he was wearing black translucent underwear.

The online users were quick to notice that and while some made fun of him, several others slammed him for behaving in an indecent manner.

Jasprit Bumrah decided to hit back at the trollers but he did that in style with a cryptic message which read,

โ€œFun fact: The understanding of lights and shadows isnโ€™t common these days. Hope people recover from it soon.โ€

Itโ€™s quite clear that Bumrah wants to convey that he is being trolled unnecessarily as what people saw was because of lights and shadows.

Jasprit Bumrah joined the team for the test matches as he was taking rest after the World Cup 2019 in which he performed brilliantly. In the ongoing test match against West Indies, India scored 297 runs while West Indies was 189 for 8 at the end of Day 2. Actor Vivek Oberoi is once again in the news and this time, itโ€™s because of the announcement regarding the trilingual movie which will be based on Balakot air strikes. The shooting of the flick will start by the end of 2019 and it will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Balakot airstrikes were conducted by the Indian Air Force after the horrific Pulwama incident in which 46 CRPF soldiers were martyred. The movie will not only focus on the airstrikes but also feature the capture and release of Vir Chakra awardee IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan along with Squadron Leader Minty Agarwal who played an important role in IAFโ€™s interception mission which was launched in order to stop the fighter jets of Pakistan. Minty Agarwal was awarded the Yudh Seva medal and she is the first woman to receive this award.

While talking to IANS, Vivek says that being a proud Indian, a patriot and member of Indian cinema community, it is his responsibility to showcase the duties of IAF. As per him, the movie will highlight the achievements of brave officers such as Wing Commander Abhinandan who made countrymen proud even when they were behind the enemy lines.

Talking about Balakot strikes, Vivek says that it was one of the most well-planned operation of IAF and all the speculations related to it will be put to rest by his movie. He also thanks IAF for trusting him and his team and hopes that he will be able to do justice with the film.

Ambati Rayudu Changes His Mind On Retirement Decision

Ambati Rayudu the middle order batsman announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 3rd July 2019. The Hyderabadi cricketer took the drastic decision after he was overlooked thrice by BCCI from the ICC World Cup 2019.

Rayudu was replaced by all-rounder cricketer Vijay Shankar. He expressed his disappointment with BCCI after he wasnโ€™t selected for the top 15 squad of the Indian team for ICC World Cup due to the 3rd dimensional role.


The Chennai Super Kings player is back in the headlines as he takes a U-turn from his earlier decision of Retirement from all forms of cricket in a letter to BCCI. Rayudu held a conference and told the reporters, I would definitely be playing the IPL for Chennai Super Kings and make a comeback into white-ball cricket, my priority now is to get back into peak fitness.

When he was asked about his hasty decision on retirement, he said, I canโ€™t say it was an emotional decision as Iโ€™ve worked very hard for the World Cup in the last four years. You are bound to be disappointed and I felt it was the time to retire.


He further added, the decision that I took was not because of rejection or anything else. You work towards something and when you donโ€™t get it, you feel itโ€™s time to move on.

The right hand batsmen also talked about his maiden comeback, he said, I didnโ€™t think about it yet. Well, I need to take it step-by-step and see how things turn out in the coming months.

Prabhas also talked about his experience with the โ€œBaahubaliโ€ series. As per the actor, he very comfortably gave four years of his career to the magnum opus and as the film reached its final point, he felt the need of doing something else too. Forbes Magazine released its annual list of the 10 highest-paid female actresses of 2019 who earned at least $5 million from 1 June 2018 to 1 June 2019.

The list is dominated by Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson for the second consecutive time as the highest paid female actress in the world. Scarlett Johansson was part of the highest grossing movie of all time โ€œAvengers: Endgameโ€ released this summer. The total earning of the actress is 59.6 million USD as said by the magazine.

Indian women who are ruling the Hollywood industry Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone couldnโ€™t make a place for themselves.

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara secured the second position with her total earnings of 44.1 million USD.

The fans of Marvel comics and Spider-Man are quite disappointed after they came to know that Spider-Man will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is happening because there is some disagreement between Sony and Disney in regard to the financial terms.

However, what can confuse anyone is the fact that the character of Spider-Man wonโ€™t be seen in the movies of MCU but it will be an important attraction in the theme parks that will be made by Disney in France and South California. Recently, Disney showcased its plans for rides which include Spider-Bots, high tech version of Superherpโ€™s suit, etc. in a fan convention.

Let us make things clear for you- Spider-Man was acquired by Disney in the year 2009 when it purchased Marvel Entertainment for an amount of $4.2 billion. However, the movie license of Spider-Man and related characters such as Green Goblin and Venom is with Sony Corporation.

The movies of Spider-Man have been co-produced by Sony and Disney till now but it seems that it wonโ€™t be happening in the future. One thing is for sure that if both the parties donโ€™t reach an agreement, Marvel wonโ€™t be a part of future Spider-Man movies and Spider-Man wonโ€™t be appearing in the movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This will straight away mean that Disney will lose around $22.5 billion globally as the series of MCU movies featuring Spider-Man earned that figure and it will be a quite confusing state for Disney as well because it will be promoting a character in its theme parks but wonโ€™t be earning from it on the box-office.

King of Romance talked about his association with railway stations in a function organised at Bandra railway station, Mumbai, where he was invited for the inauguration of new postal cover. The Bandra railway station has turned 130 years old and the launch of new postal cover is a part of the celebrations.

SRK talked about the moments of romance that he shot at railway stations with some of the most beautiful heroines of Bollywood. He said that he was really happy to be there as he has romanced with many girls in his movies; only Bandra railway station was left where he hadnโ€™t romanced with anyone.
