So, recently, a delegation from Bollywood met up with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi again and this time, a lot of women were included to reduce the controversy about the previous meet.

A lot of celebs, which included Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurana and others met up with PM Modi.

Day 1 Collections Are Out, It Is Uri Vs. The Accidental Prime Minister At The Box Office

Yesterday, the box office saw the release of two much awaited films – Uri: The Surgical Strike and The Accidental Prime Minister, and Indians were confused as to which one they should watch first.

Given the fact that both films have political inclinations, Uri has emerged as the clear winner. It could be due to a number of reasons.

For instance, the clear cut agenda of the film along with the spine chilling portrayal of the surgical strikes may have drawn audiences to the theatres. In fact, for some, that seemed more attractive than the The Accidental Prime Minister, which shows the tenure of Manmohan Singh.

It had been expected that Uri will make approximately 2 to 5 crores on the first day of its release. But clearly, box office predictions were wrong.

Uri has made 8 crores on Day 1, which is mind blowing considering the fact that some are calling it a propaganda film. The film has done much better than The Accidental Prime Minister.

The Accidental Prime Minister has made only 3 to 3.50 crores on the first day, which was expected since the film received terrible reviews and word of mouth publicity.

Uri: The Surgical Strike released yesterday, and it has already received a number of positive reviews from both critics and movie goers.

The film is based on the surgical strikes that Indian army carried out on the enemy when they were attacked in 2016 in Uri.

If you remember, it was after these surgical strikes that Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan were asked to return to their home land, before they were officially banned.

Vicky Kaushal has finally spoken up on the issue. He said that when the ban was imposed, he was at a loss how to feel. He did not know if it was right or wrong.

He wanted to carry out a silent protest back then against this move, but he also knew that this would mean he was questioning his own government.

At the same time, he also wondered about people like army officials, who had lost their brother and loved ones, and how they would feel if other people were going to watch films which had Pakistani actors in them.

He said that this would make the army officials feel that they were doing so much for their country, sacrificing their lives even, while film actors would go to any lengths to sell tickets – even hire Pakistani actors.

Vicky Kaushal’s statement is not simply an attempt to justify the ban, it is also a sentiment which most stars felt when the ban on Pakistani actors and artistes was imposed.

There’s a huge debate around Women Empowerment and Gender Equality. A lot of efforts are going on breaking the stereotypes but when it comes to females, no one bats an eye.

A Reddit user named CuteBananaMuffin shared an incident recently in which a girl got angry over him for not paying her bill during the date.

The user shared a snapshot of his conversation with the girl in which she’s slamming him for just paying his own bill i.e 17.50 euros and letting her pay her bill of 110 euros. Have a look at the conversation below-

Talking to a leading website, the guy told that the date was fun until she started talking about liking another guy. And finally, when it came to the bill it all went bad. She was shocked to see that he let her pay. Even though she didn’t say anything at that time, her facial expressions said it all.

The guy also said that he usually pays for both sides but he’s a student who works for 60 hrs a week to pay for food and books. He couldn’t afford to pay 110 euros equivalent to Rs 9000 and that’s why he asked her out again to make up for the last time and hoping that they can go for a cheaper place.

Now that’s really an eye-opener. Isn’t it?

Australia Beats India By 34 Runs In First ODI, But People Are Blaming Dhoni For It

It was the first ODI today, and India lost to Australia by only 34 runs. The ODI series also saw the return of MS Dhoni and Indian fans were desperate to see Dhoni shine.

However, India lost the match and no matter how heartbreaking it was for us to endure, we still salute the men in blue.

After BCCI Suspended Hardik Pandya, He Loses Brand Endorsements Over Comments On Women

Little did Hardik Pandya realize while making those derogatory comments on Koffee With Karan that it would be affecting his career.

He tried to be too cool, as Harbhajan Singh said, and ended up losing more than he could possibly imagine. On the other hand, his counterpart, KL Rahul was more restrained on the couch.

After the episode went live, people around the country started criticizing Pandya for his comments and some called him a creep, a misogynist and even racist.

Following the outrage over his comments, the BCCI sent a show cause to the two players and even mentioned that cricketers may be banned from appearing on such shows.

Hardik even apologized on the show, but clearly it did not matter for the BCCI announced that the player would be suspended temporarily.

After the suspension, Hardik has even lost out on some brand endorsements, which he so proudly boasts about. For instance, Gillette has suspended their contract with him.

Gillette announced that they did not support the statements made by Hardik Pandya and that they no longer wished to be associated with him. In fact, several other brands have done the same.

Clearly, Hardik will now be thinking twice before speaking.

Last phase of 2018 was all about the #MeToo wave. It impacted so many Bollywood stars and celebs and brought their career to a halt. Just when we thought that the wave has calmed down, it brings yet another shocker.

The industry is abuzz with Bollywood’s top filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani being accused of se*ual misconduct of his assistant director during Sanju film.

The AD has accused Hirani of assaulting her over a period of six months during the post-production of Sanju. Talking to a leading website, the girl reported that she was se*ually abused by Hirani for six months in a period of April to September 2018. She also informed about the same to Hirani’s friend and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and his wife Anupama Chopra through an email.

The girl also said that her father was terminally ill so she couldn’t afford to speak about it earlier.

In return, Hirani through his advocate has denied the allegations calling it false, mischievous, scandalous, motivated and defamatory. The reports, however, have disturbed the industry people and even netizens.
